Help
National Geographic's My Dogs site lets you browse dog photos by category, including breed, gender, size, color, coat length, shedding potential, and temperament.
My Dogs allows you to browse and search for dogs by various categories, including breed, gender, size, color, coat length, shedding potential, and temperament. These are found on the left-hand side of each page in My Dogs. The search mechanism analyzes all of your chosen categories and generates a set of results that perfectly or partially match your search. For example if you select "German Shepherd," "Male," and "Good With Cats," the search will return several matches. Some will be marked with a check, which indicates a perfect match. The unchecked ones match one or more of your chosen categories.
If you want to find crossbreeds, select all the desired breeds from the breed list. Dogs marked with a check in the search results are perfect matches, so if you selected "Labrador" and "Golden Retriever," the ticked images are the Lab-retriever crossbreeds. The unchecked images are dogs that are either Labradors or golden retrievers.
To remove a category from your search, simply click on the category again. To start a new search, click on the "Clear" button at the top of the page.
My Dogs also allows you to find recently added, top-rated, and most-viewed photos. These are listed under the "Popular Searches" option in the left-hand menu.
You can also use the "Text Search" box to type in your own search criteria, such as a dog's name.
